Head for Tel Aviv. In this city also known as the White City, thanks to the architects of the Bauhaus, the amazed tourist will also discover Jaffa, Tel Aviv’s older sister, several thousand-year-old. This ancient city is home to the Jaffa, a Luxury Collection Hotel, a five-star establishment housed in a restored nineteenth-century building that once housed Jaffa’s French hospital. Among the highlights of this remarkable space are the passageways under the arcades, and the sublimely restored ‘The Chapel’, reserved for private events.

With the 120 rooms and suites decorated by designer John Pawson, The Jaffa also stands out for its sublime lobby. As well as elegant seating such as Ducaroy’s Togo, a wall built by the Crusaders in the 13th century is also visible. For fine dining, head to Golda’s, where you can enjoy delicious bagels, homemade falafel, fresh Mediterranean salads and Jaffa langoustines, all served in an open kitchen. These dishes are even tastier when served in the hotel’s courtyard.

Ideal for exploring the city, the hotel is just a short stroll from the Mediterranean Sea and Jaffa’s historic port, the Shuk Hapishpeshim flea market, as well as the Antiques Museum and local shops.
