MAISON DOMINO, WHEN MARBLE CULTURE IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

Confined to serious, monumental interiors, marble is given a new lease of life by Maison Domino.

Maison Domino, a design studio based in Vicenza, Italy, has set itself the goal of reusing materials, particularly marble. By focusing on archival stock to give it a second life, Domino has also taken on a second task: to shake up the culture of marble. Wrongly considered too severe, it is here reinvested via curious, original and often unique elements, precisely because they are made from reused elements, in the form of magazine racks, side tables with singular silhouettes, vases, in a spirit largely inspired by the interior design of the very first James Bond films. A body of work that underlines a new generation, young and resolutely unconventional.
