BOOKING OFFICE 1869 IS ONE OF THE ADDRESSES NOT TO BE MISSED

In the heart of London’s St Pancras Station, Booking Office 1869 is located in the King’s Cross area. The hotelier Harry Handelsman called on the Franco-Mexican architect Hugo Toro (designer of the Gigi restaurants in Paris, Ramatuelle, and Val d’Isère) to create this bar-restaurant nestled in the heart of a winter garden in the former ticket office of the station. A 22-meter bar made of turquoise ceramics – found in particular in the Sinai Peninsula, in southwestern Egypt – is punctuated with brass suspensions, completed by a crimson red floor and gigantic palm trees. The colors and shades of ochre and gold contrast beautifully with the bluish tones evocative of Egypt. Booking Office 1869 and its warm atmosphere take us on a journey between London and the rest of the world.
