Tega Akinola, the queen of upcycling streetwear

The Nigerian-British designeris one of those little miraclesborn during the lockdown, whose notoriety has increased tenfold on social media. While returning to her parents’ home during the pandemic, she finds a bag full of phone charger cables. Instead of throwing them away, she starts a fantastic series of upcycled objects, on which she applies the famous cables: shoes, hats, bags. Among her other masterpieces, her heels dressed with sports socks and her handbags decorated with Patagonia fleeces.
