Le 6, located on rue Paul Bert in the 11th arrondissement, offers an exceptional break from the hustle and bustle of Paris. In Pauline Séné, formerly chef at Le Fripon, the address has found its new head chef.

The Parisian address has been given a facelift, with a marble counter, bottle lighting and long tables that invite conviviality. It’s a warm place that offers a tasty experience. You’ll immediately feel the friendly atmosphere, served up by the broad smiles on every face and the open kitchen that lets the good vibes escape.

Once seated at the table, overlooking the dance of pots and pans, we begin the experience with a well-deserved glass of red wine, Gamay Auvergne, to counter the December chill that has crept into the Parisian streets. I start with an egg mayonnaise, a staple of Parisian bistros. An appetiser that brings out the flavours and sets the tone for the evening.

To continue the experience, I chose a poultry dish accompanied by pan-fried carrots and creamed corn, the aromas revealed by a delicately arranged virgin sauce. It’s a decision I won’t regret, as much for the careful, colourful presentation as for the exquisite taste developed by the perfect combination of flavours and products.

To finish on a sweet note, the dark chocolate mousse and its rose des sables will be the icing on the cake of an evening rich in sensations. Each spoonful takes me back nostalgically to my parents’ kitchen for a Saturday afternoon snack. A journey between the melt-in-your-mouth melting, depth and roundness of the chocolate, sometimes awakened by the crunchy petals that lodge under the teeth for an explosion in the mouth.

Le 6 is a place where bistronomy, fresh produce, the right flavours and sobriety come together. A place to experience a convivial moment that we’ll never want to leave.
