INNIT LOMBOK, CONTEMPORARY OASIS

Lombok is a small, isolated island to the east of Bali, and Ekas Bay is a well-kept secret, accessed by private boat. It’s here that this mini-hotel of seven concrete, glass, stone and wood villas, inspired by traditional houses (lumbung) and set on stilts, was born, right on the edge of the immaculate beach, with its warm turquoise waters. Sand forms the link between architecture and nature, inside and outside.

Spanning an area of 170 m2, each villa is decorated with custom-made elements by local designers and craftsmen, in a very minimalist spirit: bamboo furniture, handcrafted polished terrazzo floors and walls…

This astonishing project, branded Design Hotels, was imagined by three Indonesian architects, some of the country’s most renowned (Andra Martin, Gregorius Supie Yolodi and Maria Rosantina), who did their utmost to reduce the construction’s impact on the environment.

A true haven of peace, combining architectural strength and natural beauty.
