Nestled in a courtyard in the heart of the Marais, Laurence Simoncini’s gallery was co-created by the architectural collective de Cigüe. The apartment is located in a former 17th century mansion where the founder has established her interior design office with neutral colors: charcoal gray, raw wood, waxed concrete, brass, and subdued lighting. The rooms are enhanced with golden details and meteorite-toned coffee tables. It’s at V rue Aubriot that we discover wonderful decorative objects. The spiral staircase divides the two floors giving way to a bay window, creating an almost invisible upper level. Mirrors and artifacts worthy of Ancient Greece, busts and handmade plates fill the space. The founder is « not for the accumulation of objects but for the right choice. » One will be delighted to find inspiration in this place where the false note does not exist.
