He caused a sensation at the Fashion Trust Arabia in Doha last November and won the Young Talent of the Year 2021 award. Abdel El Tayeb, young French-Sudanese, shines in the workshops of Bottega Veneta as in those of his label: El Tayeb Nation. Through the latter, he gives back to African fashion its letters of nobility by bringing a graphic dimension. He draws from Sudanese culture the conventions that he transposes into a couture version. Traditional garments, military garments, rethought tailoring: his creations are an ode to his origins and to a fashion that is exported outside of its four indestructible capitals.
