Based in London, this young sculpture graduate from the Royal College of Art, who goes by the name of David Pringle, launched Rodi Studio in 2019. He presents it as a design space, focused on subverting traditional methods of making and manipulating everyday materials to imitate playful creations. A philosophy that is reflected in his “Straw Stool.” This durable aluminum stool, colored with powder, found its shape and silhouette through a simple, curved, plastic straw model. A cheerful design that comes in a variety of colors, from black to blue, green, pink, yellow, and orange. A talent that has seduced the very selective Montreal sales platform SSENSE, which offers its famous stools for sale.
