Pure Brutalism

Inherited from Le Corbusier, Brutalism is an architectural style that relies on raw concrete and its ability to integrate into a wild environment without distorting it – a performance that LAAV Architects demonstrates with its Casa Brutale. Overlooking the Aegean Sea, this “concept house” carved into the rock on the side of a cliff plays the card of minimalism. The raw and primitive side of concrete is matched by the brilliance and transparency of glass. The highlight of the show?
