A chocolate whale, a cheesecake in the shape of the planet Saturn, a dessert that looks like a mushroom – Amaury Guichon’s creations are numerous. Faced with them, the confusion between reality and pastry is astounding. The 29-year-old Franco-Swiss man, who has worked for the houses of Lenôtre and Hugo & Victor, is moving to Las Vegas. There, in 2019, he creates the Pastry Academy in which he teaches gourmet workshops. His talent lies in his spectacular creations that he stages on Instagram through short videos for his 4.3 million followers. His posts, revealing the making of his exceptional creations, easily go viral, propelling him to the top of the most followed pastry chefs on the social network, ahead of Cyril Lignac and Cédric Grolet. Thus, Amaury Guichon manages to combine an artistic approach and sweet pleasure with brio.
