“SACRED,” A GHOSTLY REPRESENTATION OF DANTE’S CASTLE

Since1 st September, the cloister of the Ravenna City Art Museum has been home to “Sacred,” the ephemeral work by Edoardo Tresoldi, which celebrates the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Using metal latticework, the sculptor reinterprets the “Castle of the Great Souls,” in reference to Hell. Playing with the transparency of wire mesh, Edoardo Tresoldi constructs an imposing phantasmagorical space, into which visitors are invited to physically enter. A surreal experience to retrace Dante’s journey to Ravenna.
