An exceptional welcome and a commitment to authentic tastes and flavours, the restaurant, under the direction of chef Simone Tondo, offers wonderful recipes inspired by his grandmother Isa with all the contemporary charm of Parisian bistros.
As soon as you enter, the open kitchen fills the room with nostalgic aromas. We take a seat at a small table and decide to start with a glass of trebbiano from Cantina Indigeno. A real appetiser that promises a magical evening.
Pour la suite, ce sera un vitello tonnato ! Une petite merveille. Chaque bouchée me replonge dans les souvenirs de mes voyages en Italie. Les ingrédients se mélangent au vin et tant de justesse et d’amour dans la préparation de ce plat font se décupler les saveurs.
Le temps de redescendre sur terre, les tagliolini au ragoût de bœuf sauce tomate sont arrivées devant moi. Avec le fumet qui s’échappe de mon assiette, je sais que j’ai fait le bon choix. Un plat réconfortant où les produits sont placés dans l’assiette comme à la maison, sans fioriture, pour qu’on ne prête attention qu’à la cuisine chaleureuse du chef.
And what better way to end the evening than with a tiramisu to share. Each spoonful, lighter than air, is a true delight for the palate, with a perfect balance between cream and cookie. A moment that takes me back to family celebrations when tiramisu took pride of place at birthday parties.
