CLARA DAGUIN, WHEN FASHION MEETS TECHNOLOGY

Franco-American designer Clara Daguin embodies the bold alliance of fashion tradition and technological innovation. Born in France and raised in Silicon Valley, her unique approach blends savoir-faire and technology, embroidery and electronics, organic and artificial.

Based in Paris, Clara Daguin boldly blends haute couture, refined craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. As a resolutely geeky fashion designer, she offers a multi-sensory and philosophical experience through her creations. Digitalisation and dematerialisation, inherited from the influence of her electronics engineer father, become central themes in her work.

Clara Daguin graduated in graphic design from California College of the Arts in 2009, and has followed an eclectic path. After a stay in India, she returned to France to nurture her passion for fashion. Her Master’s degree in Fashion Design from the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (EnsAD) in Paris marked the start of a rewarding career path, including an internship at Margiela.

She doesn’t just follow fashion trends; she redefines them. The artist uses fashion as a medium. She likes to explore the links between technology and the body. Her creations, influenced by digitisation, dematerialisation and surveillance, transcend conventional aesthetics.

Founding her label in 2017 after the Hyères International Fashion Festival, Clara Daguin collaborates with the likes of Google, Jean-Paul Goude, Hermès, and Mines Paris Tech.

Her studio is a laboratory where she integrates electronic circuits, microprocessors, LEDs and fibre optics into poetic, interactive creations. Her clientele, including celebrities such as Björk, attests to her global impact.

Clara Daguin’s universe is defined as an exploration of the relationship between body and technology, creating innovative pieces where aesthetics and technology unite harmoniously.
