A LEBANESE RESTAURANT WHERE TRADITION MEETS MODERNITY

France – Paris

Kubri is the fruit of an association of three Franco-Lebanese women animated by their love for gastronomy and the desire to allow Parisians to discover it.

Close to the Cirque d’Hiver, we find ourselves at 108 rue Amelot, a newly designed venue imagined from scratch by Mayfrid and Ingrid Chehlaoui. The space unfolds in length, lined with virginal walls and red tiles, before arriving in an open kitchen decorated with rattan chairs. As you can see, Kubri has a warm and cozy atmosphere.

We begin by discovering the flavors of the house with mezze (dishes to share), where we opened the ball with “Halloumi Kataif,” rolled up with thin pate nicknamed “angel’s hair,” soaked in spicy honey, stuffed with cheese.

On the flat side, the “Samké Harra” caught our attention, a melting black plaice, served in a terracotta dish, accompanied by a spicy tomato sauce, peppers, and coriander for a touch of freshness.

But there is no question of leaving the table before tasting the desserts made by the Beirut leader Rita Higgins! We chose “Nammoura Almond Lemon,” a sumptuous cake with citrus and honey flavors. A delight!

And spring brings a new seasonal menu for the Kubri restaurant! A cuisine with Mediterranean flavors to discover urgently!
