Then interior designers for Fabrizio Casiraghi, Aurélien Raymond and Constanza Rossi decided to found Studio Akademos in 2021. The name pays homage to aristocrat and poet Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen’s magazine of free art and criticism, which was one of the first to tackle homosexuality in the 1900s.

Fascinated by the Café Society, the duo strive to bring back the atmosphere of that era through their many projects, from architecture to furniture. The proof is in their new capsule, featuring the Porfirio and John armchairs and the Fulco coffee table – a reference to the great art and jewellery names of the 1950s. “We wanted to create versatile furniture so we could place it in our different projects.”

Constanza and Aurélien used three materials, including Zebrano, lacquer and satin-finish stainless steel, to create these three pieces of furniture. “Our style universe is always glamorous and sexy,” adds the duo. For ecological and quality reasons, Studio Akademos is keen to work directly with Italian craftsmen based in Lombardy.

In keeping with their commitment to craftsmanship, the two designers called on the expertise of Venetian fabric house Rubelli to upholster their two graphic sofas. Available to order, Studio Akademos furniture is a must-have.
