about us

7 rue Froissart, nestled in the heart of the Marais district in Paris, is a place where history whispers around every corner. A former industrial workshop dating back to the time of Napoleon III, this space, now reinvented as Galerie Joseph, unfolds its 500 square meters like a jewel box dedicated to creativity and art. Exhibitions, events, and showrooms follow one another, making this a vibrant crossroads of inspiration and encounters.

Froissart Street itself, opened in 1804 on the remains of the former convent of the Daughters of Calvary, took its name in 1864 in homage to Jean Froissart, a 14th-century poet and historian whose verses and stories have stood the test of time.

The street, both intimate and vibrant, is just steps from the MERCI concept store and the lively streets of Turenne and Bretagne, making it a popular spot for Parisians and visitors from all over the world. It's a place where art, history, and fashion intertwine to offer a unique experience in the Marais district of Paris.
