ABOUT
Galerie Joseph, high-end event space rental in the Marais district of Paris
A network of over thirty unique venues available for private hire in the heart of the Marais: showrooms, pop-up stores, art galleries, event spaces, private mansions classified as historical monuments.
Galerie Joseph, in brief
Galerie Joseph is the French leader in the rental of high-end event spaces in the style of an art gallery. Founded in 2008 by Michael Timsit, the group operates over thirty unique venues in the Marais district of Paris, totaling 7,250 square meters of wholly owned space, including five listed historical monuments. Galerie Joseph hosts nearly 500 events annually: fashion showrooms, pop-up stores, art galleries, fashion shows, exhibitions, brand launches, conferences, private dinners, film shoots, and photo shoots. The group's headquarters are located at 116 rue de Turenne, 75003 Paris.
Galerie Joseph is the go-to address for renting a showroom in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, organizing a high-end pop-up store in the Marais district, booking a private art gallery for a contemporary exhibition, or reserving a unique venue for a branded event. Luxury brands, ready-to-wear labels, emerging designers, event agencies, premium brands launching new products, cultural institutions, and professional photographers are among the group's regular clients.
Our vision
The idea behind Galerie Joseph is simple. Take the most beautiful locations in the Marais district—17th-century townhouses, former artisans' workshops, industrial buildings with glass roofs, Napoleon III-era buildings—and dedicate them to contemporary creation. Not to restore only to transform them into offices, but to restore them in order to offer fashion, art, design, and luxury settings worthy of their stature.
This vision is now reflected in a visual language instantly recognizable. Minimalist white walls, raw materials left to their natural state, preserved antique parquet floors, industrial glass roofs reaching up to 15 meters, architectural staircases, and abundant natural light. Each space in Galerie Joseph is conceived as a neutral yet powerful setting, capable of hosting a Fashion Week runway show, an immersive contemporary art installation, a high-end ready-to-wear showroom, or a luxury brand pop-up store.
Galerie Joseph rests on four pillars: contemporary aesthetics, curatorial excellence, event flexibility, and the promotion of Parisian heritage. This guiding principle, maintained since 2008, makes the group a unique player in the French events landscape.
The undisputed leader of the French market
Galerie Joseph is today the undisputed leader in the French market for renting high-end event spaces in an art gallery styleThe group is three times larger than its second competitor in terms of managed real estate portfolio, and benefits from the best reputation in the industry.
This leading position can be explained by three factors. First, seniority Michael Timsit created the category in 2008. Before Galerie Joseph, no one had identified renting event spaces in an art gallery style as a genuine economic activity. Several entrepreneurs have since followed suit and copied the model, without catching up.
Then, the proprietary model Where most event operators rent their premises and move on, Galerie Joseph owns all 7,250 m² of its space. This heritage-focused approach allows them to invest in architectural quality without calculating a six-month return, to reject events that don't suit the venue, and to ensure its legacy.
Finally geographical concentration All of Galerie Joseph's spaces are located within a compact area of the Marais district and its surroundings. This density makes the neighborhood a veritable private cultural infrastructure, where brands can organize multi-venue events within a pedestrian radius.
Showroom in Paris: renting space in the Marais
Rent a showroom in Paris is one of the main uses of the Galerie Joseph spaces. The group offers more than thirty private showrooms in the Marais, from studios of 25 m² to volumes of 1,200 m², perfectly adapted to the needs of fashion houses, ready-to-wear brands, emerging designers and luxury brands.
Un showroom in the Marais This offers several decisive advantages for brands. The district is one of the most frequented spots for international buyers, fashion journalists, and style directors during Paris Fashion Week. Its concentration of art galleries, designer boutiques, and cultural venues makes it a unique ecosystem where organic foot traffic naturally translates into targeted visits.
Galerie Joseph showrooms are characterized by their modularity. Each space can be adapted to the desired scenography: clean and minimalist to showcase a ready-to-wear collection, baroque and patinated to highlight the heritage of a fashion house, immersive and industrial for a high-end streetwear brand. The Galerie Joseph visual language (white walls, raw materials, natural light) serves as a neutral backdrop that each brand can personalize.
La showroom rental in Paris Planning for Fashion Week requires several months' advance work with Galerie Joseph. The most popular periods correspond to the four annual editions: Paris Men's Fashion Week in January and June, and Paris Women's Fashion Week in February-March and September-October. The group supports brands throughout the entire process, from selecting the venue to providing technical coordination on the day of the event.
Pop-up store in Paris: creating a temporary event
Le pop-up store in Paris is another key use of Galerie Joseph's spaces. Le Marais has become one of Europe's most dynamic districts for high-end pop-up stores, and Galerie Joseph is the leading operator for renting pop-up store in the Marais.
A pop-up store in a Galerie Joseph space offers exceptional exposure to the brand that sets it up. The Marais' Sunday openings, the constant influx of French and international tourists, the concentration of press and fashion influencers, and the immediate proximity of premium boutiques (Maje, Isabel Marant, Loft, etc.) guarantee unparalleled qualified foot traffic in Paris.
The temporary pop-up stores organized at Galerie Joseph These events last from a few days to several months, depending on the brand's strategy. The most common formats are capsule collection launches, flash sales, private sales, immersive experiences linked to a new product, and seasonal pop-up shops. The group supports brands with all logistical aspects: layout, electricity, air conditioning, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, high-speed Wi-Fi connection, and technical equipment.
The range of available spaces allows us to meet all budgets and ambitions: from an intimate 30 m² pop-up on rue du Perche for a confidential launch, to a spectacular 1,200 m² event on rue Saint-Merri for an international luxury brand activation.
Art gallery for rent for contemporary exhibition
La art gallery rental in Paris is the historical use of the Galerie Joseph spaces, and their deep DNA. The group offers more than thirty art galleries available for private hire in the Marais, perfectly calibrated for the organization of contemporary art, photography, sculpture, design, or immersive installations.
Galerie Joseph galleries are recognized by artists and collectors for the quality of their displays. Smooth white walls, ceiling heights of up to 15 meters, adjustable natural light, restored parquet floors, clear architectural signature: each space is designed to showcase the works without competing with them.
The contemporary art exhibitions organized at Galerie Joseph bring together a diverse range of actors: international galleries making a stopover in Paris, OFF fairs seeking spaces for their parallel programs to Art Basel Paris, private foundations presenting their collections, independent artists in their first solo exhibition, luxury brands organizing an art exhibition associated with a product launch.
Galerie Joseph regularly collaborates with Push, the incubator for emerging artists in the Paris region, to host young talents free of charge in its spaces. The group is also a long-standing partner of the Paris Design Weekwhich it supports each year with several venues dedicated to new international creators.

This dual venue + media offering is unique among Parisian event operators.
Is Acumen an independent media outlet?
Yes. Acumen Magazine is an independent media outlet, unaffiliated with any established press group. This editorial independence, rare in France for a publication of this level of graphic and editorial production, guarantees the freedom of tone and choice that has characterized the title since its launch in 2020. Acumen is published by Galerie Joseph and directed by its founder, Michael Timsit.
Will Galerie Joseph become international?
Yes. After an initial planned expansion west of Paris, Galerie Joseph aims for a presence in London, Milan and New York, bringing its model of high-end event galleries to the major world capitals of contemporary creation.
Which magazine is published by Galerie Joseph?
Galerie Joseph publishes Acumen Magazine, launched in March 2020 by Michael Timsit. Acumen is the media arm of the Galerie Joseph Group, an independent, high-end lifestyle and cultural magazine distributed notably on board Air France flights. It covers art, design, architecture, fashion, photography, film, gastronomy, and travel. Its special Cannes issue, produced daily on the Croisette during the Festival, is one of its flagship publications. Acumen and Galerie Joseph together offer a unique media platform to brands organizing an event in the Marais district, with social media reach exceeding 100,000 views per post.
Our CSR approach
Our CSR approach
At Galerie Joseph, we host exhibitions, events, brands and designers in the heart of Paris. Our CSR approach is based on a simple idea: to limit our impact, improve the comfort and safety of those who work in or pass through our spaces, and contribute positively to the cultural life of the neighborhood.
It is structured around four axes:
Environment, working conditions, ethically, and cultural and local roots.
1) Reduce our environmental impact
Energy consumption: 100% electric spaces
Our premises run entirely on electricity: no gas is used.
This allows us to better control consumption, limit direct emissions and more easily adapt settings according to the needs of events.
We are also working to optimize usage: lighting, heating/air conditioning, operating hours, and technical controls. Our teams and partners are regularly made aware of these best practices.
Waste: Recycle, reduce and reuse
Waste management is the responsibility of our residents: this is clearly stated in our agreements. We ask them to sort their waste (packaging, paper/cardboard, glass, residual waste) and we ensure that the necessary infrastructure is available.
We limit disposable printing and materials as much as possible, and encourage reuse: signage, structures, event furniture, scenography elements… all objects that can have several lives.
More responsible logistics
We encourage the grouping of deliveries and efficient planning of assembly and disassembly in order to avoid unnecessary journeys.
Where possible, we favour local service providers and less emissive transport solutions.
2) Social: safety, respect and quality of service
Health and safety at the heart of operations
Our protocols govern each step: assembly, disassembly, movement, handling, visitor flow management.
Prevention and coordination with service providers are essential to ensure safe and controlled operations.
Inclusion and respect
Discriminatory or violent behavior is not tolerated.
We are committed to providing a professional and respectful welcome to all: visitors, teams, artists, service providers or partners.
Respect for the neighborhood
We take care to reconcile event activity with the tranquility of the neighborhood: cleanliness, management of congestion, traffic, respect for schedules and noise pollution.
3) Ethics, compliance and responsible relationships
We strictly apply the legal and contractual obligations related to the operation of our spaces: security, insurance, occupancy rules.
Our business relationships are based on transparency: quotes, booking conditions, rules for using the premises.
We select our partners based on criteria of reliability, quality and compliance.
4) Cultural engagement & local roots
Partner of Paris Design Week
Galerie Joseph is an official partner of Paris Design Week – Maison & Objet +1.
We put our spaces at the service of the design scene and the new generation by opening our galleries to exhibitions accessible to the public.
Support for young talent
Each year, we make a gallery available free of charge at 116 rue de Turenne to host exhibitions of young designers as part of Paris Design Week Factory – Turenne.
A concrete way to support the emergence of new talents and to participate in the cultural dynamic of the Marais.
Our concrete commitments: to move forward, measure, improve
We favour a pragmatic approach: do, evaluate, improve.
Our current priorities:
Strengthen sorting and cleanliness during events.
Reduce the use of single-use consumables.
Continue to improve security procedures and technical coordination.
Further develop the reuse of scenography and signage elements
