A century after the 1925 International Exposition, Paris is celebrating the return of an iconic style: Art Deco. This year, the French capital is paying tribute to this movement that transformed modern aesthetics through several exhibitions 100 years of Art Deco, between heritage tribute and contemporary perspective.
From the City of Architecture to the Museum of Decorative Arts, the event extends throughout the city: a sensory rediscovery of the geometric luxury, refinement and modernity that marked the 1920s and 1930s.
The 100 Years of Art Deco exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts
In the heart of the Rue de Rivoli, the Decorative Arts Museum presents a large 100 Years of Art Deco Exhibition tracing the history, richness, and legacy of the movement. Entitled 1925-2025: One Hundred Years of Art DecoIt brings together more than a thousand works: furniture, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, everyday objects, paintings and design pieces.
The exhibition offers an immersive journey through the creations of Ruhlmann, Delaunay, Chareau, Leleu and Eileen Gray, all pioneers of an art where form and function unite in timeless elegance.
The rooms follow one another like film sets: we pass through modernist salons, period display cases, sketches and models from the 1925 Exhibition, while perceiving the contemporary resonance of the style.
Location: Museum of Decorative Arts, 107 rue de Rivoli, Paris 1st.
Dates: until 2026 (detailed calendar on madparis.fr).

Paris and the living legacy of Art Deco
A century after its birth, Art Deco is making a comeback in the city. Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine showcases the iconic Parisian architects and buildings of that era.
From the ornate facades of the 16th arrondissement to the Art Deco cinemas and swimming pools, architecture here becomes a 100 Years of Art Deco Exhibition in the open air. The City of Paris also offers a heritage trail that invites you to rediscover these treasures: mosaics, ironwork, stylized motifs, stained glass and geometric lines that symbolize the spirit of modernity of the 1920s.
Through this approach, the experience becomes immersive: you no longer visit a museum, you enter the city as if it were a work of art.

"100 Years of Art Deco Exhibition": a dialogue between past and future
This centenary goes beyond a simple historical tribute: it questions the place of Art Deco in our contemporary imagination. Design, fashion, architecture, scenography – all disciplines still inspired by this legacy.
This 100 Years of Art Deco Exhibition It doesn't just display; it evokes feeling. The interplay of light, the geometric scenography, and the noble materials reawaken the sensuality of the style. Here, we rediscover a visual language of balance and precision, where beauty serves functionality.
Other museums, such as the Palais de Chaillot or the Le Corbusier Foundation, are joining in this celebration through conferences, tours and immersive events.
