Stopover in Guatemala: Living Crafts

Further along in the Marais, on Rue de Turenne, Guatemala is the special guest this year. The exhibition “Guatemala, Created with her hands” celebrates artisanal skills recontextualized in a contemporary language: embroidery, ceramics, wood and stone sculpture, signed by Guatemalan designers rooted in a strong culture.

This exhibition, rich in lessons, illustrates the alchemy between vernacular traditions and modern vision, a living dialogue between distant lands and artistic capital.

A global map of design

These international delegations, based in Paris, create a sensitive map of global design. They make the capital a powerful living observatory, where every street, every shop window in the Marais, every heritage institution becomes a laboratory in motion.

The fast-paced and dynamic Galerie Joseph supports these presences by multiplying exhibitions, transforming its heritage spaces into contemporary showcases for design from around the world.

A breath turned towards the future

Like an open and curious city, Paris Designweek doesn't just showcase: it invites you to travel, to encounter, to reinvent. Whether through the sensuality of Portuguese design, the creative flowering of China, or the ancestral roots of Guatemala, the event demonstrates that design is increasingly a universal language—a blend of cultures, materials, and memories.
