The exhibition "ECHO. Wrapped in Memory" offers an emotional and tactile exploration at the Fashion Museum in Antwerp, Belgium. A profound reflection that offers an intimate connection between clothing and memory through the prism of three exceptional artists: artist Louise Bourgeois, designer Simone Rocha and Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.

The MoMu (Mode Museum) explores the bond shared by these artists from different generations. Over the years, they have woven memories of clothing and textiles into their artistic language, each in their own way. Their creations emerge from a personal space, but the effects extend beyond the individual to touch on many facets of the human experience.
Through her pieces, Louise Bourgeois evokes the emotional bond she has with her clothes, underlining the evocative power of the past materialized in each preserved garment, while Simone Rocha anticipates a dialogue between the works, exploring sculpture, fabric, movement, emotion and clothing.

The exhibition looks at memories of childhood, motherhood, aging and nostalgia, while exploring handwork and repair, as well as the physical and emotional memories associated with clothing.
"ECHO. Wrapped in Memory" also highlights a little-known aspect of MoMu's collection, highlighting the expert work of its curators. With over 38,000 objects, the collection offers curators and researchers access to echoes of many personal events and stories. The garments in the exhibition bear the scars of time, with smells, stains and tears, revealing rich and varied histories.

Featuring works by Louise Bourgeois, Simone Rocha, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and others, "ECHO. Wrapped in Memory" offers a look at the intersection of art, fashion and dance, weaving together memories that resonate beyond the boundaries of time.
