Created in 2020 by sisters and artists Laila and Nadia Gohar, Gohar World is much more than just a collection of tableware. It's a family universe that blends time, tradition, and craftsmanship with a touch of humor. The creators' vision is clear: to bring people back around the table in the modern world.

Gohar World's first collection, designed in New York, is a celebration of the timeless art of table setting. For Laila and Nadia, dressing the table should be as thoughtful as choosing your outfit. This collection includes silk satin bags with bows for chopsticks, beaded hats for wine glasses, aprons adorned with lace hands, bonnets for vegetables, egg-shaped chandeliers, and even sausage and cauliflower-shaped candles, among other surreal creations.

Gohar World's unique character lies in its commitment to craftsmanship and tradition. The objects are created worldwide by family workshops, thus preserving artisanal techniques cherished by the two artists. The majority of the linens come from the Gohar family's Egyptian workshop, which uses the finest cottons and linens from that country.
The contribution of the designers' grandmother, Nabila, who hand-sews each satin bow in the collection, adds a more personal touch to the Gohar World universe. Other items are made by artisans in Austria, Spain, Italy, and Vietnam.

The latest collection, "Table IV," offers a fantastical celebration of seafood, inviting friends, family, and fish to gather around the table. Materials such as pearls, shells, silver, and linen take center stage, creating timeless tableware and future heirlooms for the family. Each collection from Gohar World offers a unique experience where dining becomes a celebration of the strange and the wonderful.
