The photographer and director of Spanish art focus on the transitions of the image, considering the conventional limits to shelter new perspectives.
After the success of YZA Voku, it was designed in Madrid to release its projects into photography, digital art, design and video. Therefore, everything becomes a perfect visual game field for the creation, investigation, experimentation and intersection of these disciplines. This ancient film student, who trained as a photography director, explored the theme of identity, between loss, change and reflection on the repercussions. This portfolio captures the transitions in the image through its retratos, its atmospheres and its evanescent scenes that share the film's narrative.
At the suggestion that he was motivated in his work, YZA Voku responded: “I am obsessed with movement, when I move, when I do, when I change constantly. I enjoyed thinking about what I saw before and after an image, and it is so valuable for photography as for digital art. Quizá la diferencia es que en la fotografía intento capture la experiencia o la sensación del momento y en el arte digitale dejo surprise, exploro cosas nuevas e intento salir de mi zone de comfort”.
Stories of changes
This evocador probes the phases and tensions between the movement and the fixation in the image, exploring the balance between photography, cinematography and digital. Therefore, the desenfoque and nitidez mark the speed of the movement to express better our feelings and our perception of the world. Everything that will be freed from nothing will come to the imagination. “I enjoy this process of adaptation and transition. A similar type of caos, perplejidad and búsqueda del order. Sobre all en my personal projects, donde juego con l’abstraction, l’ilógico et les parts que nunca cajan”.
In the present, YZA Voku analyzed a step further, experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) to examine new forms of visual and physical expression. It is possible to relieve this synergy between tradition and technology. Use herramientas as Midjourney, DALL-E 3, Firefly from Adobe Photoshop (text to imagen) y PikaLabs & RunwayML Gen2 (imagen a video), explored new dimensions of aesthetics and storytelling to transcend their plants. “(…) La verdadera identidad está detrás de la máscara”, relata en el video de su reel en YouTube “(…) Somos los protagonistas de nuestras propias narrativas, aunque no hearamos el significado de nuestras experiencias”.
