The photographer and director were shot in London and reinterpreted the conventions, concepts and traditional stereotypes of beauty in an energetic and magnetic form.
Jordan Hemingway's work oscillated between beautiful art and granulated celluloid. This old skater aficionado of New Jersey, originally from London, was born on a career as a purely self-taught photographer. After an injury with the monopatín, you have to take photos of your friends and they are enamored with the medium. From these beginnings, our obsessions with the creation of images have intensified into visual narratives that capture the stereotypes of beauty between art and sensitivity, sueño and surrealism, gothic and fetish, authenticity and ferocity.
Innovative Visions
By Jordan Hemingway, “the nociones de género y sexualidad” is encompassed in “nociones de igualdad y libertad para expresse”, but also “for the people they are”. Among our most recent projects we see magnificent editorials for Luncheon y W Magazine. The first is a home to the work of Nicole Wisniak, founder of the review Selfish, y a la obra chorográfica Triadic Ballet (1922) by Oskar Schlemmer, removed from the Bauhaus school. Through this relationship between the figure, the space and the movement, Jordan Hemingway reappropriates pictorial plants, abstracts and surrealists, creating innovative and contemplative images. The segment is a “modern visual fantasy”, inspired by three French artists and photographs from the segment around the XX: Pierre Molinier, Serge Lutens and Irina Ionesco. In the same way, Hemingway includes some stylistic factors in his photographs, which explore his roots and genes. The colors, some disfrazados like masks, are fragmented and multiplied, immersed in dark or reverse scenarios, the retratos on the clear background embody the spirit of beauty.

In your creative process, revealed your impressions in the dark quarter, it was possible to take off from the computer and did not use Photoshop. Our credits include a plethora of reviews (Dazed, Vogue, Nowness) and brands (Comme des Garçons, Gucci, Make Up For Ever). Also, Hemingway, the new pair of the British singer FKA Twigs also directed fashion films by Raf Simons, disc ports (Post Malone) and musical videos (Travis Scott, Isamaya Ffrench, Yves Tumor). An ideal expression camp for this promising artist, who is a verdadero impulso in the spirit of fashion.
