English make-up artist Lucia Pieroni is revolutionising the fashion industry with her artistic imprint. Over the years, she has collaborated with giants such as Givenchy and Vogue, as well as famous photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Since her debut on the cover of “Elle” in October 1988, the artist has brought her subtle, distinctive touch to some of the most memorable covers in the fashion world.

Lucia Pieroni’s story in the world of make-up began by chance. At first, she developed her passion by repeatedly applying make-up to her sister, then a model. Later, her sister introduced her to a photographer friend, who allowed her to try on a regular basis to build up her portfolio. Lucia Pieroni was tested for a year before going to Beverly of the Streeters agency, with whom she still works today.

In 1995, the young make-up artist decided to move to New York. A decisive step that would propel her career to new horizons. The city offered her an exceptional opportunity to work with renowned photographers such as Glen Luchford, Mario Sorrenti, Mert and Marcus, David Sims, Craig McDean and Paolo Roversi. This was an important period for fashion, which introduced a new style in photography and allowed Lucia Pieroni to test and express herself through her art.

From 2006 to 2018, Lucia’s avant-garde talent as creative make-up director for Clé de Peau Beauté transformed the brand in a way that redefined luxury and innovation. She helped bring the brand into the world of fashion, transforming it into a cult beauty brand. With a background in fine art, Lucia Pieroni’s unique ability to see light, shadow and colour has created the most sophisticated colour palettes in the prestigious cosmetic industry.

Her work has been seen around the world, thanks to her contributions to the covers of such prestigious magazines as French Vogue, Love, Vanity Fair, i-D, Another Magazine, Interview and many others. In addition to her work with photographers, Lucia Pieroni collaborates with houses such as Versace, Givenchy, Balmain, Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani and Rochas to create campaigns with emblematic looks.

Lucia Pieroni’s strong, recognisable artistic impact makes her a must-see artist in the fashion industry.
