The exhibition "I need to live" traces the introspective, whimsical, absurd and sometimes offbeat work of photographer Juergen Teller.

Everyone wants to live, to live with love, to live despite the ups and downs, to live despite the bumpy roads, the traumas, the joys, the sorrows, the tears, the laughter.

Juergen Teller, internationally known and highly regarded in the field of commercial photography and contemporary art, has worked for major magazines such as Vogue, System, iD, POP and many others, and he won the prestigious Citibank Photography Award in 2003.

The photographer immerses us in his provocative and vibrant world, engaging in a unique exercise: introspection. A visual reflection within an absurd universe where he questions his relationship to his family, his history, and his roots.

Over the past five years, Juergen Teller has collaborated with his wife, Dovile Drizyte, on joint projects that explore various facets of their relationship, marriage, and parenthood. The exhibition's title, "I Need to Live," reflects the artist's feelings about the pivotal events that have shaped his life, sometimes tragically. Juergen Teller approaches these subjects in the same way he practices photography: with a direct, realistic, and unconventional style.

This spectacular exhibition will be the photographer's most important to date, at the heart of the ephemeral Grand Palais.

The exhibition design was entrusted to 6A Architects, a firm with extensive knowledge of the photographer's work. The staging of the spaces will perfectly reflect the artist's creative universe, encompassing personal images, commissioned works, and videos, as well as a wide selection of his books displayed alongside other publications and magazines, reflecting the cultural context in which Juergen Teller's work is situated.
