Mitico “castello” delle avantgarde, modello di spogliamento architettonico slab linee ortogonali, “castello cubista e minimal”1 , Villa Noailles, based on the nature of Hyères, in the Var, is one of the oldest and most recent projects in the world, prefiguring a new art of painting. Commissioned by Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, founder of the Union of Modern Artists, he created the art that promoted purism and functionality, in line with the “Less sis more” of the leader of the modernist movement Mies van der Rohe.
Rifiutato a suo tempo per la semplicità delle sue linee, il mobile immaginato dai creatori del Movimento Moderno sarebbe caduto nell'oblio se non foss stato riscoperto e rieditato da Andrée Putman alla fin degli anni '70. This is the story of this recent story, in association with the Villa Noailles – this year's celebration of its centenary is also the 20th anniversary of its Contemporary Art Center – in one of the magnificent Cab Foundation located at the height of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Far sparire. Sottrai […] Credo che esta operazione – la sottrazione – sia alla base di tutto il mio lavoro. […] Da molto giovane, ho comprato quadri da pittori tutt’altro che consacrati. Per vederli e mostrarli bene ho dovuto simplificare lo spazio che li ospitava […] Ho stabilito un. equilibrio tra ciò che must be compared and ciò che must appear with force; è in this space that intervenes […]”.

The CAB Foundation of St-Paul-de-Vence The 2021 founding date of Belgian colleague Hubert Bonnet, new to the creation of the Madre Foundation in Brussels. The modernist building from the '50s, built second to the refined style of interior designer Charles Zana, is dedicated to the presentation of minimal and international art.
