Grecia – Athens

In the heart of the painting on Calle Solonos de Atenas, Philos -en griego, amigos- devuelve la vie a una decadent neoclasica mansion built in 1937 by the entrepreneur and lover of the arts Euripidis Koutlidis. A place that is permanently inactive after its death, Philos Ha cobrado nueva vada de la mano de Marilena Emmanouil y Sotiris Tsaglis, dos figuras destacadas de la moda atheniense, que han combinado el splendor del pasado con la effervescencia contemporánea a través de una visión clear and audaz.

Philos understands the simple notion of restaurant to position itself as a polyfacetic life space; The premises, distributed in various levels, also have a fashion boutique and a space dedicated to photo exhibitions. The cafeteria, which is surrounded by the thrilling heart of the place, allows visitors to taste culinary specialties admiring an eclectic selection of designer objects. The original walls and soles, with their antiquated patina, contrast with the minimalist furnishings and the use of noble materials to create a space of sophistication and character.

Cooking Philos It is a fusion of tradition and modernity. The menu, which changes frequently, celebrates local flavors and products through recipes from brunch classics and masterful ones. Together with the inevitable eggs benedictinos and aguacate tostadas, hay modern interpretations of the gray kitchen, as they are Kayianas, yellow cheeses served with tomato salsa, cherry tomatoes, aceitunas and meat sobre tostadas.

The atmosphere of this fantastic place is pleasant and relaxing, thanks to the warm comfort of the personal. There is a verdadera harmony between the pasado, encarnado in the architecture of the room, and the present, encarnado in the kitchen and the environment. This is the simbiosis that has to do with Philos a unique accommodation, a green route through the times and the sabors.
