On the occasion of the last edition of Milan Design Week, the essential location for any self-respecting design lover, the Nilufar Gallery, has deployed an exhibition “The Bright Side of Design” through its two enigmatic sites – the Nilufar Depot and the Nilufar Gallery in Via della Spiga. Its intention? To present the reflections and observations of its founder, Nina Yashar, through a dialogue between the old masters of the discipline and the young contemporary guard.
But in addition to this exhibition, the Milanese aesthete launches a new section to her work. Its name? “Nilufar Open Edition.” She is inviting the most fascinating contemporary figures of the design industry through a selection of her own designs.
In total, the collection will be composed of more than 80 pieces, from sofas to tables and lighting, with the desire to innovate as the watchword. A curation that will not necessarily be available at its two iconic locations, but in several outlets.
In addition to innovating, the gallery hopes to replicate its unique and luxurious aesthetic among individuals, select boutiques, and interior designers.
“My goal has always been to deliver the best possible pieces to the public,” says Nina Yashar. With Open Edition, I can finally reach out to the Nilufar community that is spread across the globe. The help and creative vision of my trusted team has been essential in achieving this exciting result, as well as the immense creativity of some of the most interesting designers in the gallery.”
