Located in the heart of Batignolles, Janine was opened in November 2022. Bistro cuisine, exquisite menu, rich and extremely tasty plates… a real treat for the locals, in Thibault Sizun’s very first restaurant.
For his very first place, Thibault remembered moments spent in Brittany with his family, where lunches could sometimes be interminable, but where there was always the joy of taste and quality in the dishes.
Here, you will have understood, the star is the product. And the chef, Soda Thiam, demands a responsible cuisine, with local products from organic farming.
And while waiting for our dish to arrive, we opted for the charcuterie plate of the moment. The rosette seduces more than one for its delicious taste and its original flavor. A simple starter, but effective!
The main course arrives, smoked and candied veal breast, bathed in a caramelized pear compote that caught our attention. The veal is subtly married with a grilled red cabbage and an anchovy and garlic sauce. A combination that is not obvious at first glance, but that puts everyone in agreement in a few bites.
To close the ball, we had to taste the dessert. Our choice was the peanut cookie with a white chocolate cream and a bread ice cream from Bacillus.
There is no time to get bored at Janine’s, the house offers different dishes every week to vary the pleasures, all in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
