The Formafatal studio has seen it in white with the “Achiote” project, of the gemelas villas available in alquiler, enclaved in a hillside location near the city of Uvita which can float on the sea.
This is the first barro project in Costa Rica and some villas are designed with sustainability and naturalness in mind.
« My intention was to design sustainable homes with biological interiors“, says Dagmar Štěpánová, architect and founder of Formafatal.
Its minimalist architecture is identical, only the difference in color. “ Jaspis Villa“, in tones arenosos, reflects the yin, connected with the ocean and the sky. “ Nefrit Villa“, in red tier tones, formed the yang, connected with the tier and the salt.
The studio worked with Terra Compacta, specialist in architecture of the apisoned lands of Brazil.
The walls are designed with this primary material, accompanied by hormigón, which also includes the furniture (encimera de cocina, fregadero, estanterías, banco, mesillas de noche).
The set is completed with structural steel H-shaped frames, while the fachadas are crystal clear. “ Pongo an extreme enfasis in all constructions: architectural details and their mutual limitations“, insists Dagmar Štěpánová.
As well, the villas are solid and discreet, with a large dormitory in the center, with an infinite swimming pool, adjacent terraces, exuberant tropical vegetation and infinite views of the Pacific Ocean.
