SATELLITE HOTEL, AN EXOTIC FLORIDA RETREAT

The multidisciplinary studio VBO Architecture, based in São Paulo and New York, brilliantly blends structure and nature. For its founder, Victor B. Ortiz, each of his projects must evoke livability in a way that seamlessly integrates nature, culture, and technology. It was in collaboration with architect Renata Leinemann that he completed this bespoke hotel suite, designed as part of a larger hotel complex to take full advantage of Florida's climate.

This place feels like paradise, perfectly suited to both the client and the environment, offering shade and a 360° panoramic view. The metal roof contrasts with the warm-toned wood and stone floors; the space is airy yet intimate. This is evident in the outdoor courtyard, which allows for a variety of ways to experience the natural landscape, whether with friends or alone. Glass panels and sliding doors protect the interior from the elements, while allowing greenery to flow in when the doors are open.

The Satellite Hotel thus creates a feeling of intimacy, tranquility and belonging, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside.
