Paris, 2019. Young Hugo Fournier, art director and 3D artist, launches his own studio. I enjoy playing with the boundary between realism and surrealism in my imagery and films, telling small stories set in dreamlike environments and distorting reality through reinterpretation. My creative process is quite spontaneous: a concept comes to me, and then I begin to visualize the scene. As I build it, my vision becomes clearer, and I can then focus on the details, the composition, and the colors. My goal is always to remain as faithful as possible to the initial concept I had imagined. " explains the young creative.

Deserts, dreamlike oases: Hugo Fournier stands out with his "Cars" series. The concept? Four-wheeled racing cars that shed the coldness of metal to embrace the comfort and softness of a sofa. Thus, the legendary 1957 AC Cars is adorned with looped upholstery or plush padding.

Inspired by the works of contemporary artists such as Erwin Wurm and Alain Bublex, the creator offers an artistic approach that subtly provides a political interpretation of our time: I chose the automobile as my subject because of my love for the fluid and organic lines that I enjoy working with, and which I have distorted in such a way as to create an irony that absurdly reflects our consumer society with a touch of humor. ».
