In the final edition of Miami Art Week, the Californian designer Kelly Wearstler presented its collaboration with ARCA, specialized in natural stone, which amplified the limits of the working techniques of marble.
Kelly Wearstler, an authentic star of Western Costa decor, saw the countryside with her final collection: “Nudo”, knowing that the structure has disrupted our perception of the material, and that, the marble, a rigid and architectural stone, gives it a appearance of a suave and sinuous sculpture, inspired by the ancestral art of the tejido and by the “simple and inherent beauty of the interconnected fibers”.
Benches, furrows, a console, auxiliary tables, taburetes and all a series of small pieces that come from the strips of keys and jars are covered in anudadas, redondeadas and acanaladas shapes and colors of marbles from Asia and Europe.
“With these creations, we want to explore the possibility of creating a suave reality through curved shapes in the form of marble. A matizado and sensual game of suavidad and fire. The universal office of tejer has its roots in ancestral cultures of all the world and every piece NUDO makes it home to this history,” affirms its creation.
