Luca Werner was born near the mountains in Munich, Germany. At first passionate about snowboarding, he expressed his wish to become a champion in the discipline until an accident closed the door on this dream. But no matter, he will decide to capture moments of life while sharing them with quotes bringing him as close as possible to the emotion he felt when he took the picture.
At the age of 16, this young artist bought his first camera, which followed him around the world, and it is as a self-taught person that he will develop his skills while joining a studio based in Munich: “The Stu,” where he will evolve surrounded by other photography lovers. It was also there that Luca Werner took his first steps into commercial and film photography.
Today, his work is recognized. From Gucci to some of Rimowa’s campaigns, he collaborates with world-renowned brands to support his vision of an art made obsolete by social networks, but which he wishes to keep alive by sharing his vision and feelings present in the moments captured by his eye. His visuals convey emotions through the human side that drives him, because Luca Werner is not just a photographer, he is also an artist who goes out into the street in search of those who catch his eye, skateboarding, which is his second passion, or landscaping.
Recently, it is with his project entitled “Naples” that he returns to the forefront of the scene, offering a trip to Italy through scenes of everyday life, his eyes, and his emotions for a poetic result as an ode to the Italian city.
