Built for a real estate developer, the Hovering Kan-Too showroom transforms the urban landscape of Zhongshan City, China. This white volume crowned with orange aluminum ridges is reminiscent of the natural design of the surrounding mountains.
True to its architectural sense, Wutopia Lab is committed to reinterpreting traditional Chinese aesthetics in a modern way. This is evidenced by the translucent PFTE (polytetrafluoroethylene) skin that floats around the lower part of the building.
This airy feel is also found on the open-air rooftop, which literally looks ready to fly. Inside, the same scenographic ballet, between the dynamic and irregular curves that rise and fall, continues. The orange interior caves draw the visitor in and instill a spirit of adventure. Let’s board!
