The ahah is an association created in 2017 which offers visual artists a personalized accompaniment for a minimum of 5 years and participates in the development of research in the arts. The association puts in abyss the work of Lena Amuat & Zoë Meyer, who have invited Simone Holliger to exhibit alongside them. "In the duo's photographs, a collection of decontextualized objects is shown without delivering either provenance or temporality. Between flatness and depth, plasticity and gestuality, Simone Holliger, for her part, imports the practice of drawing into the field of sculpture," explains independent curator Marianne Derrien.
Who are these three artists? Lena Amuat & Zoë Meyer are both graduates of the Zürich University of the Arts. They use the medium of photography to trace the history of science and culture through its means of representation. Simone Holliger is a graduate of the Geneva University of Art and Design and the Lucerne University of Art and Design and is a winner of the Nestlé Young Creation Prize and the Swiss Art Award in 2019. Holliger creates abstract forms in glued paper that she lightly inserts into space. All three are in dialogue between sculpture, drawing, and photography at the Cité Griset and rue Moret until December 10.
