Currently living between China and Europe, Hua Wang was born in the autonomous region of Xinjiang. Graduating from the venerable Central Saint Martins College in London in 2012, the young woman returned to China two years later, and more specifically to Jingdezhen, a city known for its porcelain production.

After intensive training, she returns to the old continent, invited by the Royal College of Art of London to continue her studies around ceramics and contemporary art. A practice through which she explores personal, political, and social themes.

Part of a generation of Chinese artists who have experienced rapid growth and urbanization, she evokes through her works, which seem to come from another world, the unstoppable consumerism and obsolescence. A poetic work that was invited by Dior for the “As Seen By” exhibition last year.
