Located in the heart of London's St. Pancras station, Booking Office 1869 sits in the King's Cross district. Hotelier Harry Handelsman commissioned Franco-Mexican architect Hugo Toro to design this bar-restaurant nestled within a winter garden. A 22-meter-long counter adorned with turquoise ceramics, brass pendant lights, a carmine red floor, and towering palm trees... the colors and shades of ochre and gold contrast with the bluish hues reminiscent of Egypt. This turquoise is notably found in the Sinai Peninsula, in southwestern Egypt.

After designing Gigi restaurants in Paris, Ramatuelle, and Val d'Isère, Hugo Toro has created a bar-restaurant in the former ticket office of St. Pancras station. With its warm atmosphere, Booking Office 1869 takes us on a journey between London and the rest of the world.
