CASA TO ISTANBUL AND LONDON MEETING IN MEXICO

Located in southern Mexico, Casa To is a unique boutique hotel. Designed by Ludwig Godefroy, the venue offers only nine suites, to favor the tranquility of its customers. As for its look, with its brutalist accents, the architect has designed a reinterpretation of an Oaxacan temple, in order to generate a sensory experience from the first steps in Casa To. But that’s not all. The curvaceous structure also evokes two historical hydraulic buildings: the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul, but also the Finsbury Park Reservoir in London, designed in the 19th century. A building full of references that plays with the notion of interaction between intimacy and exposure, with interior views giving the feeling of being in an oasis closed by the sky, the weight of the walls, and the vegetation of climbing plants and fruit trees.
