Founded in the 1980s by Louise Olsen and Stephan Ormandy, Dinosaur Designs was conceived as a theory where shapes and colors collide to reveal a natural symbiosis through their creations. Made from a Bisphenol A free resin, the label’s decorative objects and jewelry promote both artisanal – handmade in their workshop located in Strawberry Hills, Sydney – and responsible manufacturing, making each of their design pieces unique.
Last June, Dinosaur Designs launched WOODLAND, a collection of jewelry and objects for the home that are out of the ordinary. A utopia is drawn on each curve of its singular pieces offering, within reach, an enchanting landscape. Chalk swirls, sand pearls, malachite, and even dark horn are part of the chromatic palette proposed by the brand.
“This season we returned to an earthy, nurturing palette. Woodland is inspired by the colors, textures and shapes of a woodland landscape. It was a joy to create this collection,” says Louise Olsen. Fashioned from natural resin, the grandiose pebbles of the Boulder necklace, the pearl-colored Wishbone bracelet and the imposing Horn ring filled with polished resin relief reflect an intimate nature similar to the objects for the home that are close to this universe.
The WOODLAND collection is available online and in the label’s stores in London, Brisbane, New York, Sydney, and Melbourne.
