Nestled at 5 rue du Pont Louis Philippe, not far from the town hall, Nellu is the work of Clément Vergeat, discovered by the Top Chef show. After passing through several starred restaurants and opening his first gastronomic restaurant, Tamara, he comes back in force accompanied by his former sous-chef Olivier Garcia, who this time takes the orders of the kitchen. The new table of the Tamara Group welcomes us in a subdued, cozy, and refined atmosphere. The two chefs use techniques that minimize waste. At lunch, the restaurant offers a starter-main course/dessert or starter-main course/dessert formula.
In the evening, the restaurant offers its dishes a la carte: four starters, three main courses, plates of three or five cheeses, and two desserts. They also offer the chef’s menu, which is composed of appetizers, entrée, main course, and dessert, made according to the day’s arrivals and the chef’s mood. The dishes are obviously enhanced by a selection of wines. The place is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., as well as on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
