PARIS DESIGN WEEK : WHAT YOU CAN’T MISS ABOUT 2022

Ten days. 300 addresses. The new edition of the meeting place for design lovers and professionals is back. In parallel with the Maison & Objet show, the other major French event in the field, Paris Design Week will give us a glimpse of the trends and reflections that will excite us this year, from September 8 to 17. This year’s theme? Meta Sensible, exploring the brand-new world of the Metaverse, taken by storm by young designers. To better understand this little revolution, head to the Paris Design Factory, which will be showcasing the young generation, under the aegis of Emily Marant. The venerable magazine ELLE DECORATION will also be there, with an exhibition celebrating its 35th anniversary. On the menu, some fifteen international designers, decorators, and interior architects will be asked to collaborate with a digital or 3D artist. Among the participants, big names ranging from Tom Dixon to Sam Baron.

Also not to be missed is the participation of designer and architect Harry Nuriev, a special guest at the second edition of Bienvenue Design at the Le Louisiane hotel. With his agency, Crosby Studio, he will take over this legendary place through a series of furniture, to propose a new reading of it. This project will also be extended by a completely virtual version of the hotel. Another highlight of the year will be the discovery of international design, with the stars of Dutch design, “Métamorphoses,” which will focus on Portuguese designers, and the Triode Gallery, which will highlight American design. Galerie Joseph will be the official partner, and ACUMEN magazine will be the spokesperson for the event from 8 to 17 September.
