Straw marquetry is an integral part of Lison de Caunes’ life. It was her grandfather, the Art Nouveau decorator André Groult, who instilled in her a fascination for a skill that is more than three centuries old. 

Today, the specialist and restorer is revolutionizing this ancestral technique by creating furniture and wall panels that are both innovative and artisanal for interior designers. After creating decors for the restaurant Le Taillevent and the Bulgari Hotel in Paris, Lison de Caunes continues to surprise with her technical mastery, which she enriches with shimmering colors, combinations of materials and bold styles. Latest creation? A chest of drawers presented at the Révélations art fair, whose marquetry evokes the facets of diamonds, playing on reflections and hues.
