After briefly studying anthropology, Laurids Gallée decided to pursue design, beginning his studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Upon graduation, the Austrian designer worked as a craftsman for numerous artistic creators. Determined to create furniture that blended traditional and contemporary approaches, Laurids Gallée founded his own design studio a few years later. "Over the years, I began working more and more on my own creations, and in 2020, I started working full-time on my personal creative practice."

His primary intention? To play with materials, and more specifically resin. His "Tralucid" project, blending architecture and design, is proof of this. Designed from ten transparent resin beams glued together horizontally, the enigmatic construction reveals no visible joints, which, according to the designer, gives him the opportunity "To blend into any environment and enhance the interior with a colorful statement." The clarity of the material used to create this designer piece interacts with the light around it, thus projecting a naturally warm shadow.
