During the final edition of “3daysofdesign”, the German design festival, German furniture and art designer Carsten in der Elst presented his first exhibition “ Soft Works » in the Tableau gallery, in the heart of the Scandinavian capital. As the number indicated, this installation is one that requires suavity. For my life, the creative youth born in Colonia did not have more time to investigate white materials. This investigation can be done in practice in the world of interior design through an exhibition presented in Copenhagen. ¿The result? Printing of materials, both natural and synthetic, temporal and permanent, recycled and intact. A building that has no relation to convenience, to the consistency of materials, but also to contact. In the design of our pieces, the artist, has observed the process of traditional acolchado to promote suavidad. Only keep the pieces that have been fixed in place.
Among the most surprising creations is the aluminum and foam “Aluskin” bed, as well as its white sill, this fiberglass and latex center table, and also the very incongruous “Accession Chair” upholstered with latex tubes. Algunas de ellas, que sugieren lo efímero, están llenas de poesía, as these chairs and taburetes de corcho as contornos se desmoronan, así as si esta lámpara de cera que parece derrumbarse.
