“Peaches” by Lara Bohinc, a hymn to femininity

After nearly a decade of loyal service to the House of Cartier, exploring the world of jewelry, designer Lara Bohinc launched into the world of furniture with her own studio in 2016. Obsessed with deconstructing and reconfiguring pure geometric shapes, her designs center around curves, like her latest collection “Peaches,” unveiled at Milan Design Week. Presented as a celebration of femininity, composed of three seats – Big Girl, Derrière, and Peachy – available in red and pink, it is unequivocally inspired by the female body. Handcrafted in an upholstery workshop in North London, wood and steel form the bones of each piece. A layer of foam is used to create soft curves.
