When Milan’s boutiques focus on design interiors

For a few years now, many fashion and lifestyle stores have been imagining their spaces as staging areas with incredible decoration. The idea? To create a memorable experience as soon as you enter the store. Milan, city of design par excellence, surely gathers the most beautiful venues in the world. Acumen reveals two new spots not to be missed.

Volgare Store

In the heart of Milan, the Volgare concept store attracts curious looks. And for good reason: the interior space is a visual exaltation. Behind this singular project is the Madrid-based creative agency Puntofilipino, founded by Gema Gutiérrez. Inspired by Milan’s multicultural art scene, the designer masterfully blends colors and shapes from Mexican, Moroccan, Spanish, and Portuguese design. A daring eclecticism that she continues in the choice of materials. The floor is adorned with a typical Italian terrazzo, while the walls vary between thick glass bricks and multicolored concrete. The store is worked like a jewel box where the products, like jewels, are highlighted by these contrasting tones and textures.

Saint-Louis Crystal

A French company and a leader in the field of fine crystal work, Saint-Louis is opening a new address in Milan. A showroom that is both an illustration of its values and an integration of the city’s style. Dimorestudio has been entrusted with this project. With their marked language, the space elegantly reveals the richness of Saint-Louis. The first floor is covered with an intense red carpet, while the stairs with amber Plexiglas handrail lead to a space where brass and lacquered wood are de rigueur. Punctuated by signed furniture, the studio creates a subdued Milanese-style interior, in which warm and bright colors highlight the creations of the French house, its know-how and its heritage.
