Three hikes for a change of scenery

Among the small pleasures of the summer, to leave on foot and be intoxicated by bewitching landscapes…

In Belgium, from La Panne to Knokke

The “Coastal Hike” follows the entire Belgian coast, from the French border to the Dutch border. That is to say nearly 70 kilometers of sandy beaches hemmed in by dunes and dotted with seaside resorts facing the North Sea.

Where to sleep? Armalot by Julia, in La Panne. Two cubes on top of each other with a restaurant below, three rooms above decorated with creations by Sarah Lavoine.

In Iceland, around the Reykjanes peninsula

The volcanic eruption near Mount Fagradalssfjall in 2021 has drawn attention to this piece of land near Reykjavik, its airport, and the famous Blue Lagoon. From now on, we walk on the lava fields, between the mud pots and the fumaroles, in a lunar environment.

Where to sleep? The Reykjavik Edition, the first 5-star hotel in the capital, design and luxury, opened last November.

In Brittany, along the pink granite coast

The GR 34, the old customs path, is particularly spectacular on the section between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel. Between the chaos of granite rocks and the fine sandy beaches with turquoise waters, a small corner of Brittany preserved where nature has done wonders.

Where to sleep? Villa Les Hydrangeas, in Perros-Guirec. A charming little hotel in a 1930s villa and its contemporary extension.
