In Israel, walking in the desert in the early morning

In the past, caravaneers transported spices across the mythical Negev desert. Today, it is the hikers who travel through selected portions of this vastness of blond rocks, chaotic terrain and bare plateaus. The Arava Valley is one of these excursions. You have to be there at dawn to see the sunrise. Walk and walk again, to be at one with these fascinating lunar landscapes that gradually set themselves on fire under the light of day.

Where to sleep? At Six Senses Shaharut, the brand new resort designed by Plesner and built with local stones. Perfectly integrated into their environment, the 60 suites and villas overlooking the valley offer breathtaking views.
